Upcoming show on Governors Island which will run on weekends through the summer.
Jesse Walker and LIVING company are proud to present:
-
LIVING in Our Happy Apocalypse
Opening - Saturday, June 13th, 2009
On view weekends through the Summer
Where: Western mound of Fort Jay, Governors Island, New York City Harbor
Join us at a foothill of Fort Jay for a gathering! Jesse and LIVING company have created a stage
for the contemplation of living in our own happy apocalypse. Together our future and current existence
will take place with friends, strangers and blankets in a gathering often referred to as a picnic.
So, please bring your friends, strangers, blankets, games, beverages (no visible alcohol), snacks, frisbees,
boomerangs and any other crazy thing you might feel would add to the sharing of our unexpected unfolding of time.
How to get there? By boat of course:
The Governors Island Ferry departs from the Battery Maritime Building at 10 South Street, in Lower Manhattan.
This is the old green building from 1908 that is immediately to the left of the Staten Island Ferry building
on the East Side of Lower Manhattan. Please see the Governors Island website for more information:
http://www.govisland.com/Visit_the_Island/directions.asp
The easiest way to get to the Battery Maritime Building via public transportation is by the #1 train to South Ferry Station,
the 4/5 trains to Bowling Green Station, or the W/R trains to Whitehall Street Station.
LIVING in Our Happy Apocalypse is a part of Figment 2009 so there will be many other things to see aside from our large sign.
